Helping New Zealand schools present themselves at their very best.
I’ve been working with schools since 2013, and it remains the work I find most rewarding. Every school has a culture, a community, and a character that makes it unique. My job is to find that and give it a presence that does it justice, online, in print, and in the photography that brings it to life.
As someone looking at your school through fresh eyes, I often notice stories worth telling and strengths worth showcasing that familiarity has made invisible. That outside perspective, combined with over 30 years of design experience, is what I bring to every school project.
WHAT I DO FOR SCHOOLS
-
A website designed specifically for your school, not a template. Mobile-friendly, easy for your team to update, and built to communicate your values to prospective and current families.
-
A dedicated photoshoot capturing the real character of your school, your people, your environment, your culture.
Real photography cannot be replaced with stock images. It is what builds genuine trust with families visiting your site for the first time.
-
A consistent, professional look across everything your school puts into the world, from your website and newsletter to your logo and signage.
-
Prospectuses, brochures, and marketing materials designed for international families and the agents who represent them.
If your school is attracting students from Germany or elsewhere, I bring both the design skills and the cultural insight to make your materials land with the right audience.
-
Your relationship with me doesn’t end at launch. I offer annual reviews, staff training on content updates, and support packages to suit different needs and budgets.
THE DISCOVERY SESSION
Where every project begins
Every school project starts with a discovery session that brings the right people into the room, the principal, key office staff, and anyone else whose perspective matters. We take the time to understand your school’s culture, your community, and what you want families to feel when they find you online or pick up your prospectus.
That foundation, built with your whole team, is what makes the website, the photography, and the collateral genuinely yours. Not a template. Not a guess. Yours.
A transparent approach to budget
Pricing signals
Every school project is different, and I take the time in our discovery session to understand what you need before recommending a scope or a budget. That said, here is a general guide to help you plan:
Discovery session
We begin with a dedicated discovery session at the school with all stakeholders involved. We map out the structure and voice of your new website. Together, we review your current site, explore what is working and what isn't, and look beyond the website at your broader school ambitions. This session is included in the project cost and is the foundation on which everything else is built.
Website design (including photography)
Most school website projects, including a dedicated photoshoot, sit in the range of $6,000–$12,000 depending on size and complexity. I work within your budget and will always be transparent about what is and isn’t included.
International collateral (prospectus, brochure)
A professionally designed prospectus or brochure for the international market typically ranges from $2,500–$6,000, depending on length, photography, and print requirements.
Photography only
A dedicated school photoshoot, including editing and delivery of a full image library, typically starts from $1,900. The retouched images will be available as an image library.
