Somerville Intermediate School
The school
Somerville Intermediate is one of the larger intermediate schools in Howick, offering Year 7 and 8 students a stimulating environment of purpose-built studios and rich learning opportunities.
With a strong virtues programme built around Excellence, Respect, Integrity, Perseverance and Attitude, it's a school that takes its role in two pivotal years of a young person's education seriously.
The project
The key challenge was scale, presenting a large, complex school as one cohesive community while making information easy to find for multiple audiences: students, parents, whānau, and prospective families.
The site was structured to segment information clearly without losing the sense of a unified school. An introduction video and dedicated photoshoots bring the learning and energy of the school to life.
The school updates content frequently, making it a vital daily communication tool, while I manage technical maintenance and provide ongoing strategic guidance.
