Saxer Design is based in Beachlands, in the heart of East Auckland, close to Maraetai, Howick, East Tamaki and Clevedon, and just a 35-minute ferry ride from Auckland central.
Being local matters. I can meet you for a coffee, visit your school or business, and understand your environment first-hand. That understanding shapes everything, the design, the photography, the story we tell.
But location is also relative. My clients include organisations across Auckland, Wellington, and internationally. Great work travels.
My office is a quiet space where I can create and concentrate and welcome clients for a cup of coffee.
To be honest, more important than the location is the capability, enthusiasm and professionalism that I bring to each project. I enjoy learning about very different businesses and schools, finding customised solutions on how to create a relevant and personal website for my clients.
What I do differently
Most web designers build websites. I build the complete picture.
Every project begins with learning how your organisation actually works, how you communicate, what you stand for, and how others experience you. From there, I create the website, photograph the space and people, and shape the visual identity. It's one integrated process, not a set of separate services.
This approach is especially valuable for businesses and schools in East Auckland that want to be understood clearly, by local clients, Auckland-wide audiences, or international visitors.

East Auckland, redefined
I've lived and worked in East Auckland for over twenty years. The area has grown and changed — stretching further east from St Heliers to Howick, out through East Tamaki's business hub, and into the rural communities of Beachlands, Maraetai and Clevedon.
It's one of the finest places to live and work in New Zealand, and I'm proud to be part of it. Through the Pōhutukawa Coast Calendar and community initiatives, I actively work to celebrate this coastline and support the people who call it home.
