About the school
Maraetai Beach School is a full primary and a little gem, tucked into the coastal community of Maraetai on the outskirts of Auckland.
It's a school where everybody knows each other, older students mix naturally with younger ones, and the relaxed warmth of beach village life runs through everything.
The school motto, Connected, Empowered, Curious, says it all.
The project
The brief was to create a website that captured the unique character of this school and gave the community a genuine place to connect.
A dedicated photoshoot was central to the project from the start, capturing the real spirit of the school, and has since been repeated to keep the imagery fresh as the school evolves.
The school manages its own content confidently day to day, while I take care of system maintenance and provide ongoing strategic guidance to ensure the site continues to serve the community well.
