Morton Timber
Morton Timber is a family-owned timber merchant just outside Clevedon Village, three generations deep, serving farmers, builders and the local rural community with timber, hardware and fencing supplies.
They got in touch in 2023, we're all local, and they'd heard about my work. The brief was a website, but when I looked at how the business was presenting itself the logo felt tired relative to what the business actually was. I suggested a refresh, not a reinvention, but a modernisation. The lumberjack character stayed, the colours were made more vibrant and the whole mark was brought into the present, staying true to a family business that genuinely cares about its customers and takes pride in what it supplies.
The site was built so the team could run it themselves, updating specials and keeping things current without having to call anyone. That independence was built in from the start.
When I returned recently for a new team photoshoot, every staff member was wearing a t-shirt with the new logo on the back. New signage on the building, new road signage on the approach. The branding hadn't just worked outward, it had worked inward too.
